About ordering

Some flutes are in stock and ready to go, but most of our models are made to order.

When your order is completed, before shipping, you will be sent pictures so you can check it meets expectations.

About our guarantee

Every flute bought from us comes with a one year, back to base guarantee. This commences from a week after the day of shipping. (Approximately the day it gets into the customer’s hands).

We guarantee that your flute will meet the stated specifications, that it will be tuned correctly, that it will be good to play. That the woods used and construction methods are durable. That is will be made to a high standard.

Typical, faults that may occur (very rarely) include: a split appears. A glued joint fails. The sound quality deteriorates.

(Obviously, we’re not liable for damage sustained as a result of neglect, vengeful ex-spouses, acts of god or simple bad luck.)

If your flute goes bad and you need to make a claim, you are responsible for the cost of packaging and shipping back to the Nyx workshop. (It must be returned to the workshop; pictures alone will not suffice.) It will be either repaired or a new flute made as replacement. Nyx will cover return shipping.

This guarantee covers the original purchaser only.

About Refunds

If you have paid and the workshop fails to make your flute for any reason including but not limited to lightning strike, tsunami, military invasion, drunkenness, the dog ate it, or if you don’t like the pictures sent of the finished item and want nothing to do with it, or you give up the flute and take up the ukelele, or we take too long to get around to making it and you’re tired of waiting—for any of these reasons and any number more, you may cancel the order and will receive a refund equivalent to 80% of what you have paid. That is, if you paid the full price at the time of ordering, 80% of that will be refunded. Once the flute has been shipped, this possibility is void.

About shipping

Shipping is available to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Poland, NZ, USA, Japan, United Kingdom. If your country is outside this list, it’s because shipping methods may be unavailable or unreliable. If this is the case leave a message with your country and we’ll have a close look. Also, check for any import duties and taxes that may be applied. The buyer is responsible for these extra charges.
